The SEMAC Executive Board recently approved some minor changes to the SEMAC Bylaws and SEMAC Policies and Procedures documents to bring them into alignment with the changes to the SEMAC Constitution that were ratified by the SEMAC Membership on 4/17/2021.
The June issue of the Newstream, SEMAC’s bi-monthly newsletter has been published a bit early due to some upcoming rally deadlines! SEMAC members will find it in the Members Only section: here (password required)
Please take note about the August Lazy Days Rally in Durand Michigan, as the deadline for our club members to sign up is June 15. At that time, it is being opened to Region 4 members and then the sites we’ve reserved will be released to the public on July 1.
The Halloween Rally, October 15-17 is the final SEMAC camping opportunity for the year and is in nearby Tecumseh. All sites will also be released to the public on July 1.

Are you aware that you can purchase a WBCCI Lifetime Membership and never pay WBCCI dues again? (You will still need to pay your SEMAC dues each year, though.) The WBCCI Lifetime Membership Fee is going up on August 1, 2021, so if you are interested, now is the best time to act and save several hundred dollars! You also qualify for certain discounts as a WBCCI Lifetime Member. You can learn more about the benefits and costs of a WBCCI Lifetime Membership on Page 27 of the May Blue Beret magazine or by following this link: https://airstreamclub.org/lifetime. You can even apply online.
The registration deadline for the SEMAC Lazy Hazy Crazy Days Rally is fast approaching! This rally is scheduled for Aug 12-15 at the Walnut Hills Family Campground in Durand, MI, but our reserved sites are only being held until June 1st, so contact the campground by June 1st to guarantee a spot! A Rally Flier has been added to our Activity Schedule page here.

This revised SEMAC Constitution was ratified by the SEMAC membership during the brief Membership Meeting held before today’s Luncheon in Bloomfield Hills. The most significant change is adding a 2nd Vice President and two (2) Trustees as SEMAC Officers to allow more members to be involved with the decision making for the club. These new Officer positions will remain open until the next election cycle.

It is with a heavy heart that we learned of the passing of Dorothy Sills on January 27, 2021. Dorothy and her husband of 73 years, Richard, were founding members of our Club. Over the last few years, Dorothy was an active member of the North Texas Airstream Club. Exciting changes are happening with our website! We are making it easier to find information. We’ve updated the Home Page to better describe Who We Are and What We Do and provide direct links to our Activities. We’ve updated the Activity Schedule page to provide key information about a full year’s worth of activities in a “easy to read” table format with links to More Information when appropriate. Finally, the have added this Latest News “blog” page to help you easily find the newest information, whether it be a website update, an approaching activity registration deadline, a change of venue for an activity, or anything else your Club Leadership wants you to know about. Better yet, use the Subscribe to Blog via Email area below to sign up for email notifications whenever a new blog post is added. Each email will provide a link to allow you unsubscribe or to change the frequency of the notification emails you receive.
April 17 Luncheon Venue has Changed! Please update your calendar to meet us at 11:30am on Saturday, April 17, at the Moose Preserve in Bloomfield Hills for our Luncheon and Business Meeting. See the Activity Schedule page for details. We have arranged to have their outdoor patio, weather permitting. Afterward, if the weather is nice, we’ll head to Cranbrook for a tour of their gardens.
